ABOUT ME

Born in New York City, Hana started dancing at the age of four. From there she moved to Dallas, Texas followed by upstate New York where she continued exploring her passion for dance. At the age of twelve Hana’s family settled in Westchester, New York where, through her love of dance, she was exposed to her first musical experience as a Hot Box girl in Guys and Dolls. She continued exploring her love for musicals throughout high school and in tenth grade auditioned for her first play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

While continuing exploring her enjoyment of singing and dancing, Hana spent the rest of her high school career honing in her passion for acting. In 2017, Hana spent her summer studying at Boston University’s Summer Theatre Institute. She spent her time there being trained in voice and movement, acting, theatre ensemble work, and stage combat. She was also presented with opportunities to take masterclasses in script analysis, Shakespeare, and more. Her time in Boston assured Hana of her desire to pursue acting and she auditioned for numerous programs her senior year of high school before committing to Elon University.

In her first two years at Elon, Hana understudied roles in multiple mainstage productions and in the spring of 2021 made her mainstage debut as a witch in Macbeth. During the fall of her senior semester, Hana worked with the rest of her senior class to produce a shadow production of Rocky Horror Picture Show, where she appeared as Magenta. Alongside studying her craft, Hana enjoyed assisting the acting department with prospective students and supporting them through their audition days. Her day was always brightened seeing other artists and she loved offering her support and mentorship to them as others have done for her.

Hana had plans to study at the Theatre Academy of London in the fall of 2019 but unfortunately, due to COVID-19, had to delay and eventually cancel those plans. Hana hopes that her career and studies might one day take her to Europe as she fully believes the more exposed one is, the more representative they can be as an artist.

After graduating, Hana moved back home to New York City in June of 2022 with goals of exploring her multi-hyphenated artistry. She is striving towards her goal of being a working actress who balances roles between stage and film and television, but is really embracing being open-minded and seeing where post-grad life takes her. She knows that regardless of what kind of work she pursues, she wishes to continue in the pursuit of diversity and inclusion in the arts.
